It will require relatively little work, yet can potentially reach people all over the world. On the other hand, actually getting people to open emails and act on your email can be tough. If you’re not 100% sure on your data you need to think that technically your email marketing is like sending emails from a stranger, and therefore many of them get filtered into spam folders.Email marketing campaigns are obviously only effective as long as people are opening the emails they receive. Fortunately, there are some fairly simple ways to increase your email open rates and here are just a few to keep in mind.

Use the Open Loop Technique

The open loop is a storytelling technique in which the beginning of a story is told early but not resolved until later. It’s a great way to grab a reader’s attention with the opening sentences of an article, short story or blog post; readers get a taste of what a story is about, and they want to continue reading to learn how it turns out.The open loop technique usually applies to writing copy, but it can be applied to email marketing. When you write a subject line, try to use it to start telling a story that readers will want to finish. This will compel them to open the email and read what you have to say. Just make sure to resolve your story; if your readers think you’re deceiving them by not delivering a satisfying payoff to your subject line, they won’t want to open any future emails from you.

Use a Consistent From Name

Part of the reason why so many people fail to open emails from marketers is because they’re coming from unfamiliar places. Since every marketer has to start somewhere, this is unavoidable at first. However, you can eventually become familiar with your potential customers by using the same From Name every time you send out an email. Your customers will know who you are and where your emails are coming from, and they will be more inclined to trust you.
