With the ever increasing use of mobile for doing pretty much everything you need to think small when you write your subject titles if your thinking mobile. Its quite simple really smart phones display around five words of your subject line only so you need to make sure what you want to say is said clearly and concisely in as few words as possible.
Some possible ideas and examples could be;
- Show this for X deal – maybe a retail outlet having a stock clearance.
- Save x% – lets get right to the point, do this save that, simple really.
- Cocktails in the Sunshine – definitely one for pub to send on a friday afternoon, after all what could be better?
So being to the point is important as you could be missing out on business if your subject line doesnt say exactly what it is in this very short space, dont forget that smart phones dont have preview windows – they get what you send, so make it work or else you will be missing out.
